Terms of use

These terms cover your use of ThoughtMatch at thoughtmatch.online. By playing or browsing the site you agree to them. They're short on purpose.

Effective 24 October 2026

The service

ThoughtMatch is a free online word game run by Ansh R. Suryavanshi, an independent developer in India. You can play as a guest without creating an account. Rooms and games exist only while they're in use and aren't saved.

Who can play

You should be at least 13 years old to use ThoughtMatch on your own. Younger players are welcome to play with a parent, guardian or teacher who sets up and supervises the game.

Playing fair and kind

The game only accepts real dictionary words as secret and clue words, and it filters out offensive words. Player names and clue text, though, are typed freely, so please:

We may block access from people or networks that break these rules.

Your content

The names, words and clues you type are shown to the other players in your room as part of the game. They aren't stored after the room closes. You're responsible for what you type.

Advertising

Some pages show ads from Google to help keep ThoughtMatch free. See the privacy policy for how that works and how to control personalized ads.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ThoughtMatch running smoothly, but it's provided "as is" and "as available".

Liability

To the extent the law allows, ThoughtMatch and its operator aren't liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the game. That includes lost games or scores. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be excluded.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If we update them, we'll change the effective date above. Questions go to hello@thoughtmatch.online.
